United Sorghum Checkoff Program

Developing a docuseries to drive sustainable actions

Project Overview

Sorghum is an incredibly sustainable crop and has been nicknamed the Resource Conserving Crop™ for numerous reasons. However, “sustainability” has become a buzzword in recent years and many people don’t understand what sustainability is or why it’s a critical part of our food and agriculture system. The United Sorghum Checkoff Program partnered with us to create an in-depth documentary series about sorghum’s sustainability value to encourage farmers to plant more sorghum and consumers to purchase more sorghum products.

We traveled across Kansas to interview farmers, industry experts, and next-generation agriculturalists to ensure we captured a variety of perspectives for the docuseries. Each episode in the series focuses on one area of sustainability and covers topics from water conservation to pet food.

Goal

Demonstrate sorghum’s sustainability value to encourage farmers to plant more sorghum and encourage consumers to purchase more sorghum products
